was it like you expected ? all new agey with rocket cars and stuff ?
or was it more like yesteryear ( day ) , ( millenium ) ?
i went to santa barbara with friends . the nights festivities to be centered around dinner and a drink at the james joyce pub . nice place and a good guinness to boot . a good time was had by all .
though i have to admit to having been over hyped to the point that i just didnt feel like it was sumthin all that special , real anticlimactic about the whole turning of the century thing .
ah well .
back to now . what are we gonna call this decade ? it doesnt have the current nostalgic cheesey vibe like saying "the seventies" , or
"the eighties" . is it gonna be "the zeros" , or just "the ones" .

and on the first day we had breakfast at sambo ' s
i was surprised that there was one of these relics still around .
