fat fish - koreatown , ca

if you're like me , you luv fat oysters , fried green tea ice cream and have a conveyor belt fetish - then this is the place for you .
in the up and coming stretch of wilshire boulevard in koreatown theres a new place with a fat name fat fish and its well worth your time .

i walked in on fat fish several weeks before they were open . they were still working on the floor and the distinctive but looks like franz kline's drop cloth .

served in what looked like the oil pan that i used to put under my 1974 vw superbeetle everytime i parked were 12 very decent fanny bay oysters . each and everyone good sized and good tasting . beyond the cool decor , the good fish and the biggest and best oysters that ive had in los angeles in memory the conveyor belt and the modern cool art is the draw of my new favorite local sushi spot .

as of this review , fat fish doesnt have a liquor license yet , so its byob and until then my beautiful reviewette and i shall be happy , but sober . . . thats a point deduction !
